Assets case: Shaukat Basra moves LHC against NAB

PTI leader Shaukat Basra has approached Lahore High Court (LHC) against NAB in assets case.
He has demanded that JIT be constituted to probe into the matter of assets beyond known sources of income. A 2-membwer bench of LHC presided over by Justice Ali Baqir Najfi has issued notice to NAB and sought reply within two weeks.
The petitioner took the plea that “ I have expressed dissatisfaction over DG NAB Multan. NAB has allegedly made me accused from the petitioner. I have filed application with chairman NAB against DG NAB Multan. I requested chairman NAB to constitute JIT. I make the same request to the court as well.
It was requested in the petition that the court should order for constituting JIT comprising ISI, MI and others.
He pleaded had his assets been beyond his known sources of income he would not have lived in a rented home since the last 7 years. NAB Multan is conducting inquiry against him in assets case.
He prayed that the complete detail of assets is on the record. NAB is harassing. He prayed the court to stop NAB from harassing him. Shaukat Basra has filed the petition in LHC through his counsel Chaudhry Ramzan.
