LONDON – Cambridge International Education on Tuesday announced that the students who sat for three exam papers that were leaked during the June 2025 exam session would be offered a free re-sit opportunity in the upcoming November 2025 examination series.
In an official statement, Cambridge confirmed that the results for the affected papers — AS and A Level Mathematics Paper 12, AS and A Level Mathematics Paper 42, and AS and A Level Computer Science Paper 22 — will still be released as per the normal schedule.
However, to support affected students and maintain fairness, Cambridge has extended a one-time free resit offer for those who took one or more of the compromised papers. These students will be allowed to appear again in the November 2025 exam session at no additional cost.
Cambridge stated that all candidates and their families have been informed through their respective schools, and further details will be shared after the results of the June 2025 series are released.
The students with additional queries have been advised to contact their schools for guidance. To oversee the implementation of these measures and ensure academic integrity, three new chairpersons have been appointed. Each will serve a term of three years and will officially assume their roles on Tuesday.
The decision has been widely welcomed by educational institutions and parents as a positive step toward ensuring transparency and fairness for students affected by the breach.
