ISLAMABAD – Authorities continue to tighten noose around real estate sector, especially amid mushrooming of illegal housing societies in twin cities.
Amid ongoing crackdown, Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) target fraud in real estate promotions on Social Media against Capital Smart City Phase-III owners. A show-cause has been served to group behind Capital Smart City for advertising an illegal housing scheme online.
RDA spokesperson said Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Directorate served notice to Future Development Holding Pvt. Ltd. for promoting Capital Smart City Phase-III as the unapproved project is located near Thallian Interchange on the M-2 Motorway in Tehsil Rawalpindi.
RDA Director General led the action, urging people to avoid investing in unauthorized housing schemes, cautioned against falling prey to fraudulent developers operating without valid approvals.
In its notice, RDA urged property group to cease all promotional activities related to the illegal scheme and approach RDA to obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) in accordance with the law. Failure to do so will result in strict legal consequences,” the DG said in an official statement.
RDA has also informed various relevant authorities about the online marketing of the unauthorized project. Letters have been sent to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Rawalpindi.
