CEO / MD KW&SB Engineer Syed Sallahuddin Ahmed met with Chairman WAPDA Lt. Gen. Sajjad Ghani (retd) at the Greater Karachi Bulk Water Supply Scheme (K4) project office to review & discuss the progress of the first phase of the (K4) project, Considering (K4) agreed to complete the project as soon as possible.
On this occasion, CEO KW&SB expressed his satisfaction on the steps taken by the (K4) project management for the completion of the project & assured the Chairman WAPDA Lt. Gen. Sajjad Ghani (Retd.) said that the all possible steps will be taken to complete other ongoing projects including (K4) for better supply of water to the citizens of Karachi.
He said that WAPDA will be fully supported for the immediate completion of K4 project, He further said that we hope that WAPDA under the leadership of Chairman WAPDA Lt. Gen. Sajjad Ghani (retd) will complete the (K4) project within the stipulated time with his professional & expert skills, Chairman WAPDA Lt. Gen. Sajjad Ghani (retired) expressed his views & said that the (K4) project will be completed as soon as possible in collaboration with other relevant departments including the KW&SB.
He said that completing the (K4) project early is one of our top priorities, and therefore steps are being taken on emergency basis for its immediate completion, Inshallah (K4) the project will be completed in its scheduled time, appreciating the efforts made by CEO KW&SB Engineer Syed Sallahuddin Ahmed for the improvement of water supply & drainage in the city, he said that the services rendered by the KW&SB administration for the improvement of water supply & drainage for the city are worth it.
There is a definition, It should be noted that the (K4) project has been designed to supply 650 million gallons of water per day to Karachi from the Kenjhar Lake of the Indus River, While the completion of the first phase of the (K4) project will provide 260 million gallons of water per day to the city of Karachi, the federal government has entrusted the responsibility of construction of the first phase of this project to WAPDA.
