A day before Eid, Muslims celebrate Chand Raat which marks end of Ramadan and the start of Eid festivity.

The night before Eid is a festive occasion as people throng markets to complete shopping for new clothes, accessories, and gifts for Eid. Peoplo also used to decorate their homes while women often apply Mehndi designs on their hands.

On Chand Raat, Pakistanis used to share WhatsApp statuses to share festive spirit with friends and family. The status include greetings, wishes, photos of Eid moon, or even videos of Eid celebrations.
