ISLAMABAD – A senior military delegation from China led by Chief of Staff of the People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) Lieutenant General Wang Gang visited Air Headquarters in Islamabad for key meeting with Chief of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu.
The high-level engagement focused on regional security dynamics, defence cooperation, and the growing need for enhanced bilateral coordination in airpower and operational synergy. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to expanding their strategic partnership through deeper collaboration in training, technology, and joint military initiatives.

During the meeting, PAF Chief warmly welcomed the Chinese delegation and highlighted the enduring and time-tested ties between the two countries. He emphasized that the Pakistan-China relationship is grounded in mutual trust, strategic convergence, and a shared vision for regional peace and stability.
Lieutenant General Wang Gang was briefed in detail about PAF’s modern force structure, doctrinal developments, and recent strategic initiatives. He expressed strong admiration for the PAF’s operational readiness and technological advancements, particularly its seamless execution of Multi-Domain Operations (MDO), which he described as a key benchmark in modern air combat.
General Wang also praised Pakistan Air Force’s measured and precise response during the recent conflict with India. He commended the professionalism, leadership, and discipline demonstrated by PAF personnel under the command of Air Chief Marshal Sidhu, calling it a model of effective airpower under pressure.
The visit concluded with both nations expressing their resolve to deepen military cooperation, expand knowledge-sharing, and pursue innovation-driven collaboration to further strengthen their historic defence partnership.
