Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, on Human Rights Day, emphasized that practicing people’s rights (Huquq-ul-Ibad) in daily life constitutes true human rights. He stressed that peaceful, just, and inclusive societies cannot exist without respecting human rights.
The Chief Minister highlighted that Human Rights Day is observed globally on December 10 every year. The theme for 2024 is “Our Rights, Our Future, now.” He underscored the importance of freedom of expression, access to education, and healthcare as key priorities for human rights.
Murad Ali Shah reaffirmed that the Sindh government is committed to ensuring human rights for all citizens without discrimination. He added that establishing a fair and just society is essential to safeguarding human rights, and all citizens across Sindh and Pakistan enjoy equal rights. Expressing deep concern over human rights violations in Palestine and Kashmir, the Chief Minister condemned the atrocities committed by Israel and India against innocent people. He appealed to the international community to protect the oppressed Palestinians and Kashmiris from these ongoing injustices.
