A Lahore court on Wednesday sought the record of PTI leaders SanamJaved and Alia Hamza’s case from the prosecution in Shadman police station arson case on May 9 in bail application hearing.
Shakeel Pasha Advocate appeared before the Anti-Terrorism Court on behalf of SanamJaved. The court adjourned further hearing of the case till March 8. The court will decide on the bail applications when the record of the case will be presented by the prosecution. Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Muhammad NaveedIqbal heard the case. Meanwhile, the court has extended the interim bail of PTI leaders MusratJamshed and JamshedIqbalCheema till March 16 in delivering speeches at Sherpao Bridge, siege and arson cases. MusratJamshed and JamshedIqbalCheema appeared in court for attendance. The court sought a complete investigation report on the next hearing. Anti-Terrorism Court Judge ArshadJaved heard the case.
Meanwhile, An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Wednesday sent anchorperson Imran Riaz Khan to jail on 14-day judicial remand in a case of torching police vehicles outside the residence of former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman in Zaman Park. Earlier, the police produced the accused before ATC Judge Naveed Iqbal on expiry of his five-day physical remand, but did not seek further physical remand for investigation. The court was requested to send the accused to jail on judicial remand. However, Imran’s counsel submitted that his client was implicated in the case with mala fide intention and requested for discharging him from the case.
