Deputy Commissioner Hafizabad Sundas Irshad has warned the transporters to refrain from violation of fare list issued by the Secretary Regional Transport Authority, otherwise strict action will be taken against those who found charging arbitrary fare from passengers on the eve of Eid.
While addressing the meeting of transporters, she said that special teams would be constituted before Eid to ensure implementation of fare list and to take action against overcharging.
He directed the transporters to past fare list at prominent places at bus and wagon stands, in buses and wagons inscribed with phone Numbers of district administration and Secertary RTA as well as ensure provision of all basic facilities at bus and wagon stands to commuters.
DC also directed the Secretary RTA to constitute special teams for checking transport to save passengers from overcharging.
