A protest demonstration was held under the aegis of Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir in Muzaf-farabad, today, against the illegal life imprisonment sentence of Yasin Malik.
The protesters wearing shroud and black ribbons, chanted anti-India slogans and sat in front of the UN Observer Office and later on marched towards Line of Control. The protesters reached Chakothi and marched on Srinagar Highway accompanied by many other pro-testers who joined them under the leadership of PPP leader Ashfaq Zafar.
The participants carrying banners and placards raised slogans against the worst verdict in false case against Yasin Malik. They also demanded release of APHC leaders Masarrat Alam Butt, Aasiya Andrabi, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Ayaz Akbar, Peer Saifullah, Nayeem Ahmed Khan, Muhammad Yousaf Falahi, Naheeda Nasreen, Fehmeeda Sufi and other prison-ers, languishing in different jails of IIJK and India.—KMS
