Sindh Minister for Local Government, Saeed Ghani, has directed town chairpersons to accelerate development projects in their respective areas and ensure timely completion of ongoing initiatives. He emphasized that no compromise would be made on these projects and that public service must be prioritized above all else, free from political or ethnic bias.
He issued these directives while chairing an important meeting with Karachi’s PPP-affiliated town chairpersons at his office on Friday. The meeting was attended by PPP Karachi General Secretary and District South President Javed Nagori and other representatives. During the meeting, chairpersons briefed Saeed Ghani on the progress of ongoing projects and the challenges they face. He instructed that project under the purview of Sui Gas, the Water Board, and other organizations should be expedited, and the construction of roads and streets in affected areas must be completed without delay.
He reiterated that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has given clear instructions to all elected representatives to serve the public without any discrimination and to focus solely on the welfare of citizens. Saeed Ghani assured that all issues faced by the towns would be addressed on a priority basis.
He stressed that meeting the expectations of Karachi’s citizens is the primary responsibility of all elected representatives. “Anyone failing in their duties will face strict action,” he warned.
