Acting chairman Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) and convenor All Parties Hurriyat Conference Mehmood Ahmed Saghar has paid rich tributes to senior party stalwart Engineer Farooq Ahmed Khan on his first death anniversary.
In a statement issued here today the DFP while highlighting the deceased leader’s contribution towards the ongoing freedom struggle said that Khan and his family had rendered great sacrifices for the liberation of the motherland from India’s illegal occupation.
Terming the deceased leader’s services for the noble cause as unforgettable, he said that Engineer Khan would always be remembered in the annals of Kashmir’s history as a proud son of the soil who devoted his entire life for the Kashmir cause.
Paying rich tributes to his social and political service for the people of Kashmir he said Khan was a devoted freedom fighter who despite going through trials and tribulations did not compromise his ideals.—KMS
