ISLAMABAD – Parts of Pakistan are reeling under intense weather condition with temperature crossing over 40 degrees Celsius, but relief is in sight as Met Office predicted pleasant weather in several regions during Eid holidays.
As per latest advisory, thunderstorms, rainfall, and hail are expected in several northern areas. From June 2 to June 5, intermittent rains are likely to batter Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Murree, Galiyat, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Mansehra, Battagram, Shangla, Kohistan, and Abbottabad.
Eid ul Azha Weather Update
Dust storms, rain, and hail are also expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Sialkot, Narowal, and other cities from Tuesday, bringing relief for people who are facing scorching heat.
During Eid days, more rain and hailstorms are expected in Dir, Swat, Chitral, Kohistan, and Mansehra, while the plains are likely to experience hot and dry weather. Meteorological Department also issued a warning of strong winds, hailstorms, and lightning may damage weak structures, trees, electric poles, and solar panels. Masses are advised to take necessary precautions.
Travelers, tourists are also advised to avoid unnecessary travel, and relevant authorities are urged to stay alert in case of emergencies.
