ISLAMABAD – Zilhajj moon has sighted in Pakistan and Eidul Adha 2025 is set to be celebrated on June 7 while the final schedule of holidays remains under the clouds of uncertainty.
The government and private employees are looking towards the government for issuance of an official notification regarding Eid holiday so they can plan their engagements accordingly.
According to public holiday calendar for 2025, there would be three holidays from June7 to 9. However, a formal notification is yet to be issued by the federal government.
Eid Holidays Notification 2025
Reports suggest that the decision regarding Eidul Adha holidays will be made upon Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s return from his foreign visit.
The premier is expected to reach back Pakistan today (Friday) after wrapping up two-day visit to Tajikistan.
A day earlier, PM Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Dushanbe on a two-day visit where he was accorded a warm welcome at the airport by Tajik Prime Minister Kokhir Rasulzoda, Deputy Foreign Minister Sharifzoda Farrukh Homiddin, Tajik Ambassador to Pakistan Yusuf Sharifzoda and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Tajikistan Muhammad Saeed Sarwar.
During his two-day visit to Tajikistan, PM Shehbaz Sharif will hold bilateral meeting with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon.
During the meeting, he will discuss with the Tajik President the cooperation between Pakistan and Tajikistan in diverse fields.
He is also scheduled to participate in the International Conference on Glaciers’ Preservation-2025.
