Election Commission of Pakistan will announce the Final Duty List 2024 as millions of people registered to vote in upcoming elections to pick 266 representatives.

More than 5,121 candidates are taking part in the upcoming elections as they belong to political parties or are independents.

ECP, Pakistan’s top polls body, holds the authority to issue the Election Duty List of Polling Officers. The list will be issued today on February 5 2024, and the list of workers designated for election duty for general election in 2024.

ECP will also share details about instruction for workers in field, like Presiding officers, assistant presiders, and polling officers.

As per the rules, Electoral Officer is required to verify that the voter possesses an active National Identity Card and cross-reference the information and photo of the voter with the details on the voter list.

The Polling officer announces voter’s name and serial number. To confirm if they have already voted, the PO examines the cuticle on each thumb of the voter. The officer then uses permanent ink to mark the right thumb of the voter.

The voter’s name is then removed from the voter record before being taken to the Assistant PO.
