ISLAMABAD – Election Commission of Pakistan on Thursday extended polling time in some regions for the upcoming general elections.
In a press release issued on elections day, the polls body said decision was taken to ensure maximum participation by voters.
With new update from ECP, poling time in three polling stations 250, 304, and 338 in NA-62 Gujrat, and PP-28.
PTI calls for extending polling time as deadline nears
As the polling time for elections draws closer to the end, Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) demanded to extend the voting time.
Earlier today, voting started at 8am today and will be concluded at 5pm. PTI also decided to submit a formal application to the electoral body, seeking an extension in the polling time.
