Sarwar says opponents struggling for political survival

Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar has said that everyone except the opposition is acknowledging that Pakistan’s GDP growth is estimated to reach 4%.
“Those who wanted to overthrow the government are struggling for political survival and they should know the fact that Prime Minister Imran Khan sticks to his stance against corruption as only transparency and merit will strengthen Pakistan.”
Talking to a delegation led by PTI leader Tahir Anjum which called on him at Governors House, Lahore on Friday, he said the government with its successful economic policies has put the country in the right direction on the economic front. The federal and provincial budgets will also provide more relief to the public, he added.
Chaudhry Sarwar said that ever since the PTI government has come to power, the opposition is trying to topple the government but has failed.
The government is strong under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan and PTI has no threat from the opposition’s Long Marches so the opposition should wait patiently for the general elections, he maintained.
Governor Punjab said that all international institutions including IMF and World Bank are acknowledging Pakistan’s economic growth and development but the opposition is pursuing a policy of non-compliance.
Pakistan is moving in the right direction on the economic front despite the challenges of the Coronavirus Pandemic.
Those who want to destabilize the country are not ready to tolerate the economic development of the country.
Chaudhry Sarwar further said that the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan is committed to its principled stance regarding the elimination of corruption adding that the government is taking practical steps to overcome the challenges of inflation and unemployment.
