DOHA – Explosions were reported over Qatari capital of Doha on Monday, after unconfirmed reports that Iran launched a series of missiles targeting US military installations in the country. Eyewitnesses described hearing multiple loud blasts across the city, prompting concern and speculation on social media.
Iran is believed to have fired six missiles toward American bases in Qatar as part of its ongoing retaliation against recent U.S. airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.
The attack marks a significant escalation in regional tensions, as Iran simultaneously continues its assault on Israel with a new wave of drone and missile strikes.

In a statement released Monday morning, Abdolrahim Mousavi, the recently appointed Chief of Staff of Iran’s armed forces, condemned the United States for what he called a direct violation of Iranian sovereignty. He referenced Sunday’s strikes on key nuclear sites in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, asserting that the U.S. had “clearly and directly entered the war.”
As of now, neither the U.S. Department of Defense nor Qatari authorities have issued an official response to the missile strike allegations. The situation remains fluid, and further developments are expected as the region braces for potential escalation.
