Fakhar Imam tests positive for Corona

Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research Syed Fakhar Imam has contracted COVID-19 on Tuesday,
Fakhar Imam said that there were few symptoms so he went for testing and now his test result came back positive. The minister has now put himself in quarantine and appealed to the masses to follow SOPS including wearing masks and maintaining social distancing to control the spread of COVID-19.
Fakhar Imam has been serving in office since April 2020. He also served as the 11th Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan from 1985 to 1986. As many as 20 people were tested positive for COVID-19 during the last 24 hours. Deputy District Officer Health Dr Asif Shehzad told APP on Tuesday that 393 coronavirus tests were conducted in public and private sector laboratories of Faisalabad, of them 20 were tested positive.—INP
