KARACHI – Authorities in Sindh announced a holiday on February 29, 2024 (Thursday) as a holiday in District Jamshoro.
The holiday has been announced in connection with 772 three-day Annual Urs celebrations of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar.
Urs of the Sufi saint will be commemorated for 3 days and the devotees will experience Sindhi traditional wrestling, a literary conference, and the recital of Sufi music at Urs.
Meanwhile, stern security measures are in place for the annual Urs while facilitation camps have been set up in Sehwan devotees to provide facilities to visitors.
Sindh Caretaker Minister for Law and Auqaf Umer Soomro also visited shrine of Syed Shah Hussain, popularly known as Lal Shahbaz Qalandar to review Urs measures.
