The Islamabad Wildlife Management Board has got registered a First Information Report in Kohsar police station against the occupation of Monal Restaurant.
An FIR has been lodged by the Wildlife Board against the Monal administration for interfering in the affairs of the government.
A large number of employees of the Monal restaurant with support of its former administration had on Wednesday forcibly unlocked the restaurant’s doors turning away the IWMB and the Capital Development Authority and taken over the building.
In the FIR, 5 sections have been imposed against the decision of the High Court, including breaking the official lock on the hotel and beating the employees.
According to the FIR, Monal administration officials arrived at the hotel on Wednesday, February 16, and showing little regard for law or the court’s orders, they insulted the police officers there and the staff of the Islamabad Wildlife Management Board, saying that the court had ruled in their favor and that they would re-establish their control here.
When asked for showing any court papers by government officials, they refused to show anything and asked to leave.
According to the local administration, 70 to 80 members of the Monal administration broke into the hotel and set up their chairs and tables.
It may be noted that the management has ordered to seal Monal and move the goods.
The Monal Hotel was de-sealed last week and handed over to CDA and Islamabad Wildlife Management Board in the presence of a magistrate.
Chairperson of IWMB Rina S Khan Satti in a post on Social media Thursday said the WMB has successfully registered a FIR against Monal management for their illegal take over yesterday (Wednesday).

The Islamabad High Court had on January 11 ordered to hand over the hotel located at Margalla Hills to CDA and Wildlife Management Board.
IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah had issued the orders while hearing a case related to encroachments on the land of Margalla Hills National Park.
