Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP)’s Information Secretary Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan urged all the political parties to give a united roadmap for economic revival in the country. She said that IPP is a platform that will give solution-oriented roadmap to the problems being faced by Pakistan. In her maiden interaction with media on Sunday in Lahore since taking the charge of party’s information secretary, she said that the center of IPP’s politics will be Pakistan and its people under the leadership of Jahangir Khan Tareen and Abdul Aleem Khan. She further added that the political landscape of Pakistan is quite foggy these days and there is a dire need to resolve the issues of public on priority basis. “The IPP believes that no single party or individual can resolve the problems of this country and therefore we all must sit together to find a viable solution,” said Awan. She added that it is need of the hour to prepare a long-term and sustainable economic roadmap for next 30 years. This roadmap must be signed by every political party and leader with complete consensus, she said.
According to Dr Awan, the basic purpose of IPP will be to synchronize the national interest with the public interest and the party will strive to give a better platform to the youth of Pakistan. She also revealed that IPP will unveil its manifesto soon and the party will not support any unconstitutional narrative. In reply to a question, Dr Awan said that IPP will not become ‘B-Team’ or subordinate wing of anyone as we’ll contest the elections independently. The information secretary of IPP was of the view that there is dire need to uproot the politics of hatred and polarization in order to bring stability in the country and IPP will give a direction to our youth.
“The IPP will work on both economic and political fronts to bring stability in the country. We are here to give hope to the youth of Pakistan,” she added. Dr Awan was of the view that Pakistan is under the burden of huge foreign debt despite the fact that we are rich in resources and there is lot of potential in our youth. Economic reform must be our top priority but no political party or individual can do this alone. A roadmap for next 30 years must be prepared by all the political parties to bring Pakistan out of the prevailing crisis, she added. “This roadmap must be followed religiously by every political party who comes into power after winning the elections,” said Dr Awan.
She added that youth is our asset but it is really unfortunate that they are unguided but IPP will give them a direction through its vibrant platform.
“We’ll decide to go for seat adjustment according to the situation of every constituency during the elections but we are ready to sit even with our political opponents,” IPP’s information secretary said. She also revealed that more political heavyweights will join IPP this week. It is really unfortunate that there is one-man show in our political parties but IPP will be the only party that will function in result of the teamwork, she added. Taking a jibe at PTI’s chairman, Dr Firdous said that he used to call Bushra Bibi as his ‘Murshad’ and you cannot differ with your ‘Murshad’ at all. The head of nuclear country was being run through some ‘spiritual’ things, she added. She was of the view that governance was in control of steet-boys and therefore we faced worst situation in every department.
While mocking at PTI, she said that no one is ready to support PTI in this difficult time and all the social media gangsters are disappeared now. She also said that Election Commission must be independent and neutral in order to show transparency.
Talking about the tragic incident of May 9, she demanded stern action against all those involved in the shameful episode that was planned to tarnish the image of Pak Army. “The IPP will strive to resolve the issues being faced by Pakistan by harmonizing the politics with state,” she concluded.
