Free M-Tag Registration announced as NHA rolls out New Motorway Rules

ISLAMABAD – M-Tag system was introduced to streamline and speed up toll payments on motorways, and National Highways Authority is now offering free of cost M-Tag facility until August 15.

Vehicle owners in Pakistan can now register for free M-Tag at designated points on motorways, with only few days left in the latest offer.

National Highway Authority (NHA) new guidelines for vehicle entry on motorways, with only vehicles with M-Tags will be permitted on these roads in coming days.

M-Tag Update for Motorways

To facilitate Pakistanis, M-Tag service is currently being offered free of charge until August 15. During this period, motorists can have M-Tags installed on their vehicles without paying any payment.

M-Tag system was made to make toll payments faster and more efficient, helping travelers save both time and money. Starting August 16, M-Tag requirement will be enforced on the Lahore-Sialkot Motorway (M-11), with plans to gradually implement this mandate across all motorways nationwide.

The highways authority highlighted that M-Tags support transparent digital transactions, ensuring that collected tolls are effectively utilized for the public’s benefit. This initiative aimed to streamline toll collection and enhance the overall motorway experience for users.
