RAWALPINDI – Military courts sentenced another sixty civilians to prison terms ranging from 2 to 10 years for their involvement in violent attacks on sensitive installations during May 9 riots.
The protests, triggered by brief arrest of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, witnessed widespread vandalism and attacks on military facilities. Army’s media wing ISPR announced that more civilians were handed prison terms over the May 9 events.
