This dip comes after increase in rates as gold surged by Rs1,500 per tola to reach Rs354,500. The recent volatility in prices is largely attributed to fluctuations in the global bullion market.
Internationally, the price of gold also declined. The rate was reported at $3,365 per ounce, including a $20 premium—marking a $7 decrease from the previous day, as per APGJSA data.
Meanwhile, silver prices in the local market also fell. The rate per tola dropped by Rs73, bringing the new price to Rs4,014.
Experts suggest that ongoing uncertainties in global markets and changing investor sentiment are contributing to the price fluctuations in both gold and silver.
