Sindh Governor, Kamran Khan Tessori, is likely to be the chief guest at a fun-filled event for 1200 orphan children from underprivileged families to be held at an elite holiday resort on Karachi’s outskirts. These orphan children are enrolled in the charitable schools of the non-profit Green Crescent Trust (GCT) in the deprived parts of Karachi.A total of 2,114 orphan children have been studying at 170 charitable schools of GCT in underprivileged parts of Sindh. For the rest of the orphan children, the GCT is going to organize similar leisure events at famous recreational spots in Hyderabad and Sukkur.
The event in Karachi will be held at Dreamworld Resort on December 21. The event in Hyderabad will be held at Rani Bagh on December 26, where Sindh Local Government Minister, Saeed Ghani, will likely be the chief guest. The leisure activity in Sukkur will be held at Benazir Bhutto Park on December 28 as Sindh Energy Minister, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, will likely be the chief guest of the event.
A total of over 32,800 students from destitute families are enrolled in the 170 GCT’s schools. “We organise these fun-filled days every year at the elite recreational spots to entertain orphan students in our schools in the best possible way,” said GCT CEO Zahid Saeed.
He said the GCT conducted support activities throughout the year to help these orphan students and their families to provide them with quality education and the necessities of life honourably. Orphaned students at GCT schools have invited generous donors and philanthropists supporting quality education for underprivileged children to attend their gala events.
