VEHARI – The district administration has declared a public holiday in Vehari on July 11, 2025, in connection with the annual Urs of Baba Haji Sher Dewan.
The announcement was made through an official notification issued by Deputy Commissioner Umarana Tauqeer.
According to the notification, the holiday will apply across the district; however, it will not affect scheduled examinations of educational boards or universities.
Additionally, essential services such as emergency, medical, municipal, and security departments will continue to operate as usual and are exempt from the holiday.
The annual Urs is a significant spiritual event in the region, attracting devotees from various areas. The district administration has made necessary arrangements to ensure smooth observance of the occasion.
