LAHORE – The Punjab government has enabled citizens to download registries of their houses and other properties online as it is taking various measures to transform land management across the province.
It has launched the Punjab Urban Land Systems Enhancement (PULSE) project with focus on transforming land management across Punjab.
Its core objective is the development of a Unified Land Information System, ensuring all urban land data is centralized and accessible.
A key component of this initiative is GIS-based parcel mapping, enabling clear and accurate maps linked directly to official land records.
By digitizing and updating these records, PULSE aims to improve the overall quality and transparency of property registries.
This system will support better access to urban land, facilitating planned development and investment opportunities across the province.
Enhanced land records and property registration processes will also contribute to increased public trust and efficiency in land transactions.
Through these advancements, the PULSE project seeks to modernize urban land governance, supporting sustainable growth and development.
The integration of technology and data will lay the foundation for a more transparent, efficient, and equitable urban land system in Punjab.
