LAHORE – Users from across Pakistan have been raising concerns over slow speed of internet, which is affecting various activities related to education and online business sectors.
Reports claimed that around 70 percent decline was recorded in the online assignments received by the freelancers in Pakistan due to internet issues.
The internet speed is also dead slow for both broadband and mobile phone users today, December 10, while there is no official statement from the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).
Meanwhile, Pakistan ranked 198th in the world in latest internet speed rankings, said a report released by the World Population Review. Pakistan ranked below Palestine, Bhutan, Ghana, Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, and Libya when it comes to speed of internet.
The average mobile internet download speed in Pakistan stands at 19.59 Mbps, while broadband internet speed is 15.52 Mbps on average.
