The High Court of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) has quashed the illegal detention of two persons, booked under black law, Public Safety Act (PSA), and directed the authorities to release them immediately and upheld one.
Justice Vinod Chatterji Koul quashed the PSA of Meraj-ud-Din Parray and Rizwan Akbar Najar, both residents of Srinagar, and upheld the PSA of Mushtaq Ahmad Mir of Chak Nutnussa, Kupwara.
They were detained on November 22, 2019, April 07, 2022 and October 19, 2021 by the District Magistrates of Srinagar and Kupwara.—KMS
