Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has formed Project Implementation Unit (PIU) to eradicate encroachments from storm water drains in the city The PIU Committee will consist of Commissioner Karachi, Municipal Commissioner KMC, Additional Commissioner Karachi and the concerned Deputy Commissioner. Commissioner Karachi Navid Shaikh has been appointed as Committee Chairman. The PIU committee will take steps to eliminate encroachments from Karachi’s canalsThe funds to be provided to PIU will be utilized jointly by Commissioner Karachi and Municipal Commissioner KMC. The PIU will submit a report to the Chief Secretary Sindh on a fortnightly basis
