LAHORE – Ousted prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan has expressed willingness to forgive everyone including attackers who orchestrated Wazirabad assassination in November last year.
PTI chief held out an olive branch on Saturday to his political rivals, saying that he is ready to talk for the sake of national interest but stressed holding general elections at the earliest, which according to the PTI chief is the way to steer Pakistan out of crises.
Addressing PTI supporters on the first day of the election campaign, the firebrand politician commended PTI activists for surrendering themselves before police in parts of the country but called out at the incumbent government for treating his aides as terrorists.
Continuing his rhetoric, Khan said around 74 cases have been lodged against him from the ruling alliance. He said PM Sharif, Interior Minister damaged the probe in the case of an attempt on his life.

Khan said PTI sacrificed governments in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as lawyers told that elections could not be delayed beyond 90 days. Calling general elections the only way out, the PTI chief said it’s time for all stakeholders to pull Pakistan out of the crisis.
He mentioned distributing party tickets for the upcoming elections in the next fortnight after interviewing candidates. PTI chief said his party is taking all steps as it faced turncoats last time.
Khan hinted at moving forward a day after President Arif Alvi announced April 30 as the date for elections in Punjab after the Supreme Court’s (SC) ruling in suo moto case.
