In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian forces have launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in several areas of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
The forces, including 22 Rashtriya Rifles, SOG and CRPF laid a siege in the localities, including Batpora, Sangrampora, Khushal Matoo, Muslimpeer, Baba Yousuf and Shalpora where they started house to house searches.
A top police official has also confirmed that the searches were launched following a tip off about the presence of mujahideen in these areas.
As per locals, the forces have also sealed the roads leading towards these areas.—KMS
