ISLAMABAD – Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid tribute to the sanitary workers of Capital Development Authority (CDA) for their tireless work during Eidul Azha and announced a single salary bonus.
The minister appreciated their dedication and acknowledged their round-the-clock efforts during a special ceremony in Islamabad on Thursday.
Minister Naqvi congratulated CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, the deputy commissioner, assistant commissioners, and all field teams.
He announced a bonus equal to one basic salary for all employees involved in the “Zero-Waste Operation”, and Rs15,000 each for daily wage workers.
During the three days of Eid, 2,400 tons of animal waste and offal were collected from urban and rural areas of Islamabad.
The cleanliness operation was monitored through drone cameras, with 2,500 workers and 250 vehicles participating.
Citizens expressed great satisfaction with the Zero-Waste Operation, recognizing CDA’s performance. Gratitude was also extended to Islamabad’s citizens for cooperating fully with field teams.
He said CDA, MCI, District Administration, Islamabad Police, Safe City, and Traffic Police worked day and night. All departments coordinated efficiently, prioritizing public service over institutional boundaries.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the Safe City team for their effective monitoring.
CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa also addressed the ceremony and thanked the field teams.
