The nomination papers of Shoaib Siddiqui from Constituency PP-149 of Lahore have been approved as Shoaib will be the joint candidate of PML-N and Isthekam Pakistan Party (IPP). Shoaib Siddiqui was elected MPA from the same constituency in 2015 also in the by-election.
Shoaib Siddiqui was elected MPA twice in addition to holding various political positions.
The seat of PP-149 was vacated as President IPP Abdul Aleem Khan was elevated to the National Assembly and later became Privatization and Investment minister in the Shehbaz Sharif-led cabinet. Shoaib Siddiqui is determined to participate in the by-election with full preparation.
Siddique has been rendering public services in this area for 20 years. Shoaib Siddiqui expressed his gratitude for the approval of the nomination papers. Shoaib Siddiqui announced the start of the election campaign in PP-149.
