ISLAMABAD – More rains and gusty winds are likely in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and parts of Pakistan on Friday evening/night and Saturday with occasional gaps.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a depression over south Uttar Pradesh (India) now lies over northwest Madhya Pradesh. It will likely move west-northwestwards during the next 24 hours. A seasonal low lies over northwest Balochistan with a trough extending eastwards. A westerly wave will likely affect southern parts of the country during the next 24 hours.
Under these conditions, partly cloudy and humid weather is expected over most parts of the country on Friday evening/night and Saturday. However, rains and gusty winds are likely in the twin cities and at isolated places in Sindh, northeast/south Punjab, northeast/south Balochistan, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Islamabad’s maximum temperature is expected to remain between 25°C and 27°C on Saturday and between 26°C and 28°C on Sunday.
Rawalpindi’s maximum temperature is expected to remain between 27°C and 29°C on Saturday and between 28°C and 30°C on Sunday.
Meanwhile, rains with isolated heavy falls occurred in Islamabad and parts of Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours.

Dalbandin and Nokkundi remained the hottest places in Pakistan, where the maximum temperature was recorded at 44°C. The maximum temperature in Nojjundi was recorded at 43°C, and in Dadu and Turbat at 42°C.
In Islamabad, the maximum temperature was recorded at 26°C. Relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 96 per cent.
In Rawalpindi, the maximum temperature was recorded at 26°C. Relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 84 per cent.
