Jashan-e-Baharan celebrations are continue in the district Hafizabad. in this connection, an exibationary cricket match was played between DC Eleven and Doctors Eleven. Deputy Commissioner Umer Faroq Warraich was chief guest on the occasion. ADCR Imtiaz Ali Baig, ADCG Ishfaq Ahmad, DO Sports Nabeela Cheema, Chief Officer MC Abid Qayyum Qazi, Deputy Director Colleges Professor Muhammad Azhar, CO Pindi Bhattian Ikramullah Sandhu, President PMA Dr. Abid Bhatti, players and a large numbers of spectators witnessed the match.
DC Umer Farooq said on the occasion that on the directions of the Punjab government ‘Jashan-eBaharan’ was arranged to provide free of cost recreational opportunities, promotion of sports and local and Punjabi culture activities. He said that people of the area were participating the ‘Jashan-e-Baharan’ calibrations with enthusiasm. The team of district eleven won the match and DC gave away prizes among the players and guests
Meanwhile, different programmes were arranged in the Government Associate College for Women Jalalpur Bhattian in connection with ‘Jashan-e-Baharan’ and Punjab Culture Day. Students highlighted different aspects of traditional Punjabi culture and arranged stalls of different meals inclidng Saag, Lassi, milk etc.
