Jammat Islami Hafizabad stage protest and took out rally from Model Bazar to Fawara Chowk against alleged rigging in election of Mayer of Karachi and undemocratic attitude of People’s Party.
President Jammat Islami Hafizabad Dr. Muhammad Yaseen, Iman Ullah Chatha and Malik Shoukat Ali Phularwan led the rally.
Addressing on the occasion speakers said that government of People’s Party kidnapped Chairmen of 30 union councils while Hafiz Naeem-ul-Rehman was declared loser despite heaving 193 votes and declared winner to Murtiza Wahab who was having 173 votes.
Speakers said that it was undemocratic attitude of people’s Party. They demanded to declare election of Mayer Karachi null and void and hold reelection of Mayer Karachi transparently according to mandate of the people of Karachi.
Meanwhile the brother of former Federal Minister Saira Afzal Tarar, only son of senior politician and ex federal parliamentary Secretary Mian Afzal Hussain Tarar father of Mian Muzafar Hussain Tarar and Mian Tahoor Hussain Tarar, Mian Nasir Hussain Tarar passed away after protracted illness, Mian Muzafar Hussain was canser patient. His funeral prayer was officered at Kolo Tarar and laid to rest in native graveyard in village Kolo Tarar near Hafizabad.
