A high level delegation of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Pakistan (JUI-P) held a meeting with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan and discussed the prevailing political situation, the continued state coercive measures against PTI and a strategy to foil the ongoing attempts to rig the long-awaited general elections threadbare.
The JUI-P delegation was led by Maulana Shujaa-ul-Mulk and PTI Central Information Secretary Raoof Hasan was also present in the meeting. During the meeting, they called the efforts to rob elections and the right of the people to vote through state coercive and brutal measures as a criminal act against democracy and a despicable attempt to push the country into the quagmire of anxiety and chaos.
They also held detailed discussion on important issues such as the prevailing political situation in the country, the unabated and continued worst state oppression and suppression against PTI and the strategy to foil the most heinous plan to rig the upcoming elections scheduled for February 8, 2024.
Moreover, during the meeting, they shed light on various aspects of political and electoral cooperation between the two political parties.
On the occasion, the JUI-P chief Maulana Khan Muhammad Khan Sherani special message was delivered, demanding immediate cessation of the ongoing extra-constitutional and legal tactics against PTI and Founding Chairman Imran Khan, who had been imprisoned in Adiala Jail.
