The total federal budget outlay for 2025-26 is Rs17,573 billion, incorporating initiatives designed to foster inclusive and sustainable economic growth. Finance Minister Aurangzeb described the budget as the beginning of a strategic plan focused on strengthening the country’s competitiveness, boosting exports, and building foreign exchange reserves to stabilize payments and enhance productivity.
Net revenue receipts are projected at Rs11,072 billion, with provincial shares amounting to Rs8,206 billion. The government expects an economic growth rate of 4.2% and inflation of 7.5% over the next year. The budget deficit is forecasted to stand at 3.9% of GDP, while a primary surplus of 2.4% is anticipated.
