July 2025 Update: Normal vs Urgent Passport Fee in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD – Passport Fee in Pakistan starts from Rs5,500 and goes all the way to Rs28,000, depending on the category and validity.

For validity of 5 years, total fees vary depending on number of pages and processing speed. A normal 36-page passport costs Rs5,500, while urgent service for same size costs Rs8,500. For 72-page passport, the normal fee is Rs9,200 and urgent fee is Rs14,500.

A 100-page passport costs Rs10,000 under normal category and Rs19,000 for urgent processing. For passports valid for 10 years, the fees are higher. The total fee for a normal 36-page passport is Rs. 7,700, and Rs. 12,200 for urgent processing. A 72-page passport costs Rs. 13,400 normally and Rs. 21,200 urgently, while a 100-page passport costs Rs. 14,500 normally and Rs. 28,000 if urgent service is chosen. These fees include all applicable taxes and service charges.

Pakistani government lately made changes to Citizenship, Naturalization, and Passport Fee target to Rs76,500 million for the next fiscal year, up from Rs75,000 million, signaling a push for increased revenue collection by the Directorate General of Immigration and Passport despite no formal hike in passport fees.

The total federal budget outlay for 2025-26 is Rs17,573 billion, incorporating initiatives designed to foster inclusive and sustainable economic growth. Finance Minister Aurangzeb described the budget as the beginning of a strategic plan focused on strengthening the country’s competitiveness, boosting exports, and building foreign exchange reserves to stabilize payments and enhance productivity.

Net revenue receipts are projected at Rs11,072 billion, with provincial shares amounting to Rs8,206 billion. The government expects an economic growth rate of 4.2% and inflation of 7.5% over the next year. The budget deficit is forecasted to stand at 3.9% of GDP, while a primary surplus of 2.4% is anticipated.
