KARACHI – Rainfall of varying intensities and gusty winds are expected in Karachi and parts of Sindh on Sunday night and the next two days.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal penetrate most parts of Pakistan, which will strengthen within the next 24 hours. A westerly wave also affects most central/southern parts of the country.
Under these conditions, rains and gusty winds are expected in Tharparkar, Umerkot, Badin, Thatta, Mithi, Sanghar, Dadu, Sukkur, Jacobabad, Larkana, Kashmore, Shikarpur and surrounding areas on Sunday night and the next two days. Light rain/drizzle may also occur in Karachi and coastal areas.
Karachi’s maximum temperature is expected to remain between 33°C and 35°C on Monday, between 32°C and 34°C on Tuesday, and between 31°C and 33°C on Wednesday.
Hyderabad’s maximum temperature is expected to remain between 35°C and 37°C on Monday, between 34°C and 36°C on Tuesday, and between 33°C and 35°C on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, hot and humid weather prevailed in Karachi, Hyderabad and most districts of Sindh during the last 24 hours.
Dadu and Sukkur remained the hottest places in Sindh, where the maximum temperature was recorded at 43°C. The maximum temperature in Nawabshah was recorded at 39°C.
In Karachi, the maximum temperature was recorded at 33°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 78 per cent.
In Hyderabad, the maximum temperature was recorded at 35°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 78 per cent.
