KARACHI – Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori has announced the introduction of a global tape-ball cricket event next year.
Speaking at a press conference at Governor House, he said that Karachi Tape-ball Premier League had engaged street talent with the help of former cricketers, which was commendable.
Tessori, who is also a patron-in-chief of KTPL, announced taking ownership of Karachi Knights and dedicating this to the students of the Governor House IT project.
He thanked cricket legends Javed Miandad, Sadiq Muhammed, Tauseef Ahmed, and Haroon Rasheed for the KTPL initiative to help groom local talent.
He said that KTPL Season-4 will be held at Moeen Khan Academy from 14 to 29, and he will be there to watch all the matches and witness how this initiative is helping local talent.
He presented the official T-shirts of all KTPL teams to the consul general of different countries who attended the event.
Zohair Naseer, the organiser and chairman of the KTPL, said that the support of the Sindh Governor will go a long way in supporting the local talent.
He expressed hope of making KTPL an international activity from Pakistan with the support of the Sindh Governor and legendary cricketers.
