K-Electric has requested a provisional fuel charge adjustment (FCA) of Rs 3.09 per kwh for July 2024. The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) will review the request and, following a public hearing, will issue a decision on the FCA amount to be applied to customer bills and the relevant period. FCA adjustments reflect fluctuations in global fuel prices and changes in the electricity generation mix, impacting the cost of power generation. NEPRA’s approval will determine how these adjustments affect customer bills.
