The spokesperson of the Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KW&SC) has announced that K-Electric will be conducting its annual maintenance at the Hub Pumping Station on (Today) January 28, 2025. The maintenance work is scheduled to take place between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, during which the power supply to the Hub Pumping Station will be temporarily suspended for a period of 6 to 8 hours. As a result of the maintenance work, residents in District West and Keamari are expected to face a water shortfall of approximately 37 million gallons per day (MGD). However, the water supply from the Dhabeji Pumping Station will continue as usual, ensuring that the rest of the city receives water without any disruption. The spokesperson KW&SC further clarified that the city typically receives a total of 650 MGD of water.
