Robbers gunned down a lady doctor upon resistance during purse, mobile snatching incident here late Tuesday night.
According to details, lady doctor Khola Basharat hailing from Defence ‘A’ went to meet her friend Rija in Defence Phase III.
Two robbers riding a motorcycle, present outside residence of the friend, tried to snatch purse and mobile phone from Dr. Khola.
Upon resistance, the robbers opened straight firing killing Dr. Khola on the spot and sped the scene with snatched purse and mobile phone.
DIG Investigation taking the notice of incident has directed for arresting the culprits.
Meanwhile, the City Police claimed to have arrested two men for murdering and robbing a doctor outside her friend’s house in Defence.
According to the police, the suspects shot her when she tried to resist a robbery. They took her cash and mobile phone after the murder.
DIG Operations Suhail Chaudhry took notice of the crime and ordered the immediate arrest of the suspects. “We traced the men via CCTV footage,” a spokesperson said Wednesday.
