LAHORE – More pre-monsoon rains and gusty winds with isolated heavy falls are likely in Lahore and parts of Punjab on Sunday night and Monday, with occasional gaps.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), moist currents from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal penetrate the upper & central parts of Pakistan. A westerly wave also prevails over the upper parts.
Under these weather conditions, more pre-monsoon rains and gusty winds with isolated heavy falls are likely in Murree, Galiyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Talagang, Chakwal, Jhelum, Sargodha, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujranwala, Gujarat, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Okara, Chiniot, Faisalabad, Sahiwal and Jhang on Sunday night and Monday with occasional gaps. Windstorms are also likely in Multan, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar and Dera Ghazi Khan during the period.
Lahore’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 32°C and 34°C on Monday and between 33°C and 35°C on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, hot and humid weather prevailed over most parts of the province during the last 24 hours. However, pre-monsoon rains with isolated heavy falls occurred in parts of Punjab.

Bahawalpur and Dera Ghazi Khan remained the hottest places in Punjab, where the maximum temperature was recorded at 42°C. The maximum temperature in Multan was recorded at 41°C, and in Sahiwal at 39°C.
In Lahore, the maximum temperature was recorded at 33°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 75 per cent.
