LAHORE – Cold and dry weather will likely to persist in Lahore and most districts of Punjab on Wednesday night, Thursday and Friday.
As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan. A shallow westerly wave prevails over upper parts of the country.
Under these weather conditions, cold and dry weather will likely persist in Lahore and most districts of the province on Wednesday night and the next two days.
Very cold and cloudy weather with light snowfall/drizzle may occur in Murree, Galliyat and surroundings. Moderate to dense fog/smog (in patches) is likely in Jhelum, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Okara, Multan, Bahawalpur, Rahimyar Khan, Bahawalnagar, Dera Ghazi Khan and surroundings during morning and night hours.
Lahore’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 04-06°C on Thursday and Friday.
Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed in Lahore and most districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. Extremely cold and cloudy weather prevailed in Murree, Gulliyat and surroundings.
Murree remained the coldest place in Punjab where the temperature dropped 01°C below the freezing point. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 50 per cent.
In Lahore, minimum temperature was recorded at 05°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 61 per cent.
