Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-HasanLanjar has strongly condemned the recent assault on an elderly citizen in Karachi’s Korangi area and has ordered immediate action against those responsible. Expressing his dismay over the incident, Minister Lanjar directed the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Korangi to promptly apprehend the perpetrators involved in the attack.
Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-HasanLanjar emphasized the importance of registering a case against the offenders without delay. In a statement issued by the Sindh Home Department on Monday, Minister Lanjar underscored the need for strict enforcement of the law against individuals involved in violent acts, particularly targeting vulnerable members of society such as the elderly. “There will be no tolerance for any delays or negligence in addressing citizens’ complaints,” he warned.
Furthermore, Minister Lanjar instructed the SSP Korangi to ensure that if any complaint is not promptly registered by the relevant Station House Officer (SHO), accountability measures should be enforced. He demanded a detailed report on the actions taken against those responsible for the assault on the senior citizen.
The directive from the Home Minister comes amid growing concerns over incidents of violence and crime in Karachi, with a particular emphasis on protecting the rights and safety of all citizens, especially the elderly. Authorities are expected to expedite their efforts to bring the culprits to justice and reassure the public of their commitment to maintaining law and order in the region.
