ISLAMABAD – Murree has been experiencing continuous rain and thick fog for the last two days, causing travel disruptions and raising safety concerns for both locals and tourists.
In response to the deteriorating weather conditions, the district administration has issued a set of safety advisories.
Residents and tourists have been strongly advised to stay away from streams and low-lying areas due to the risk of flash floods.
Authorities have also urged people to avoid unnecessary travel and ensure that vehicles are equipped with fog lights while driving during rain and foggy conditions.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast more rain with strong winds for various regions, including northern parts of the country. There is also a warning about possible landslides in hilly areas, particularly in Murree.
Tourists have been instructed to remain in safe areas and follow the guidelines issued by local authorities.
With the weather system likely to persist, officials are urging caution and preparedness in the face of potential natural hazards.
