The federal government of Pakistan lowered the price of petrol for May 2024 by Rs15.39 to Rs273.10 per liter and reduced diesel prices by Rs7.88 to Rs274.08 per liter in sigh of relief for inflation hit people.

These changes were suggested by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) and were influenced by fluctuations in global market rates. Pakistan’s government adjusts petroleum prices every fortnight using a formula that factors in international oil prices, exchange rates, and other pertinent elements.
